    Bless the growth that came to you through suffering.

    It’s in suffering we surrender. Suffering is the tides of misery.

    Suffering at times wages an invisible war.

    It’s in suffering our heart is cracked open to bleed, a raging river of fierce fire.

    The suffering aches, it yearns, it ravishes.

    Suffering is an initiation. An activation.

    Suffering can be exquisite. Suffering can spark new life.

    It’s through hell we find heaven.

    On stepping into your power.

    Suffering can be helpful, hear me out 🌊

    Suffering causes us to really evaluate what’s going on.

    To follow the brave call of what our heart and soul is yearning for.

    Suffering is an ACTIVATION 🧨

    There are times we ignore what we know deep down inside and suffering won’t stand for that.

    Suffering demands attention.

    Suffering demands action.

    How can you let your suffering be a portal of activation? 💥

    To move you?

    There have been times in my life where I hit rock bottom and thought that was it.

    Yet I continued to suffer because I was so seduced by the creation of my suffering.

    I refused to let go of the narratives that created my suffering and so that pain of it all continued.

    What I needed is to use my suffering as a means to finding a solution.

    And that is where the magic begins 🪄

    Stepping into your power.

    Leading yourself out of the darkness.

    Your darkness and suffering isn’t something to be afraid of.

    It’s the medicine that will bring you home to yourself… if you let it.

    You are the power

    This beautiful flow… this beautiful magic… this beautiful synchronicity cannot be be controlled, at times it can’t even be comprehended..

    Your current reality is only a snapshot of the infinite potentiality that exists.

    Know that it is all coming together…

    If you know that you aren’t worried about timing.

    You aren’t worried about what ISN’T happening.

  • Following my heart

    I'm grateful for my heart...

    I’m grateful for all that my heart feels.

    I’m grateful for the way it beats with pride and joy. I’m grateful in the way it floats with excitement and swells with tenderness. I’m grateful when it feels heavy and anchored. I’m grateful when it feels like it’s being crushed alive. I’m grateful when it swoons with delight and wonder. I’m grateful when it beats slowly and gently. I’m grateful when it races to the rush and thrill of it all. I’m grateful when it aches and I feel every time it bleeds. I’m grateful when it rushes off the cliff and suspends itself for a moment in time.

    I’m grateful because my heart reminds me I’m alive.

    Following my heart through grief.

    Sometimes I really resent my heart.

    Following my heart has led to painful situations that my mind wanted to avoid.

    Following my heart has led to judgement from others who wouldn’t understand.

    Following my heart has led to more difficult decisions that could logically be answered.

    Following my heart has led me to a life beyond logic and my wildest dreams.

    Following my heart has led to deepened love that ha changed my life in ways I never knew it could.

    Following my heart has never been wrong even when I’ve felt that I couldn’t handle the heartache that wouldn’t stop coming in waves.

    We live in a society that values logic and the brain.

    After my dad died I made a conscious decision to live with my heart because I realised my mind caused me so much pain.

    Use the weekends to work and make money instead of spending time with family and friends (if I could go back in time to spend one more minute with my dad I would).

    Do the logical thing that makes you unhappy but theoretically will give you what you want (I stayed in a job where I felt unhappy but made up for it in my bank account – being miserable and wealthy is no fun).

    You’re going to have so much time to do other things (spoiler alert; we only have the present moment) – it’s short term sacrifice for long term gain.

    When my dad died, initially I could not feel my heart.

    I was so overwhelmed with grief, pain and shock that I went into shut down.

    I numbed everything out… and I did not feel anymore.

    I would later be diagnosed with onset delayed grief that led me to a dark dark place because to live without feeling made me feel like a zombie not truly alive.

    I literally remember being so much wishing I could feel something even pain! Even to cry would be something.

    The day my heart came back I was elated.

    Even as I navigate tough times with my heart I am so grateful.

    I am grateful for this mighty muscle that physically keeps me alive but also reminds me that I am truly alive.

  • It’s all going to work out, beautiful soul…

    Ending up where you need to be

    Even when it feels like life is a tangled chaotic mess, it’s all going to work out beautiful soul.

    Loose ends will be tied. Stuck stagnant energy will unravel into a beautiful symphony.

    The tears you shed will give life to new love and light in your life.

    You will end up exactly where you need to be, as exactly who you are meant to be, doing what you are supposed to do.

    Everything is aligning in your favour, trust the process, trust the journey, trust the timing.

    You are deserving of the light that you yearn for.

    Hold on beautiful soul, the darkness is only temporary.

    All is conspiring in your favour.

    Can you have faith?

    Because life won’t deliver your spiritual lessons in the form of rainbows and butterflies.

    Often life will deliver the greatest gifts and growths disguised as darkness, as discomfort, as pain, as challenges, as obstacles…

    The darkness is a disguise that will be inevitably unveiled by the light of insight and expansion that will breakthrough.

    Can you have faith knowing life is by design not accident?

    Can you have faith knowing that it’s all happening for you, not to you?

    Can you have faith that whilst it may not feel great at the time, it doesn’t mean it won’t be great in time?

  • Change can be lovely… and cruel

    On Change

    Beautiful soul, change can be lovely.

    It can be oh so beautiful…

    However sometimes change is cruel.

    Change can be trying to keep your head above water.

    Change can be stirring beneath the surface.

    Change can be getting caught between two worlds.

    Change can be the crushing weight of the world.

    Change can be lingering, waiting in the shadows.

    Change can be torture and agony, bleeding out.

    Change can be silence, with not a word said.

    Change can be turbulent, aching to break free.

    Change can be a baptism of fire, burning alive.

    Change can be a graveyard, haunted by your mistakes.

    Change can be painful, but change is how we grow.

    More on change

    Many of us believe change is a good thing, in fact we desire it and we think it will be enjoyable and pleasant.

    Sometimes it is.

    Sometimes it isn’t.

    It can be uncomfortable and unpleasant.

    It can be slow, tedious and drawn out.

    It can cause anxiety, stress, disruption and even depression in some cases.

    Despite the growing pains it doesn’t mean change is bad.

    Whether we initiate it or not, whether we are are prepared or not… change
    happens inevitably.

    To help us grow and expand, to be come our highest selves living our life in alignment with our soul and values.

    Just as the caterpillar becomes a butterfly be willing and open to change.

    Be open to letting go and shedding who you’ve been.

    Be open to letting go of the past and old patterns.

    Be open to who you are now and who you are becoming 🦋

    Sometimes the change won’t make sense, you won’t quite understand it — go with it, see where it takes you.

    Have faith knowing that any change happening is change that you can handle 💫

    In the most exciting news, I’ve been named one of the top 10 life coaches to watch out for in 2021 by New York Weekly. So so exciting. Thank you for all the love over on my Instagram my heart and soul are overwhelmed and overjoyed with all the celebrations. It means the world to me.

    This week I’ve been reflecting on fear which is what today’s episode is all about.

    Fear supposedly protects you and keeps you alive. 

    Which is does to a degree but really it keeps you from being truly alive.

    It is keeping you stuck, small and scared.

    Fear stops you from living life fully

    Fear keeps you from doing all the things.

    Falling in love.

    Breaking up.

    Starting your own business.

    Quitting your job.

    Pursuing your dream career.

    Being who you really are.

    Speaking up.

    Showing your face.

    Changing your life.

    It’s keeping you from life!

    Fear paralyses you and keeps you stuck

    When fear paralyses you – you aren’t even getting a chance to be successful, to be truly happy because you’re stopping in your tracks before you can even start!

    It’s very much the quote that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

    It’s ironic that fear makes us do a lot of things but it also keeps us from doing a lot of things.

    Fear is a cycle.

    How to break the cycle of fear

    How do you break it?

    It’s not that you have to push, make or force yourself to not be fearful.

    To feel scared is natural – fearful – it has the energy of mental stories behind it, conditioning, lack.

    My approach and what I talk about with my clients is to feel the edges of the fear.

    How does it feel in your body?

    Does it weigh heavily?

    Is it in your stomach?

    To feel it deeply and allow yourself the natural process of feeling your emotions.

    To meet that edge and rise above the fear.

    The meanings of fear spiritually

    Fear has two meanings.

    Forget everything and run or face everything and rise.

    The choice is yours.

    Use your body to overcome fear not your mind

    And really when you embody it, you realise that it isn’t thinking or your mind that will help you overcome fear.

    It’s feeling deeply into your body and taking inspired action accordingly.

    Do the damn thing that edges you out of your comfort zone.

    Invest in yourself.

    Quit the job.

    Start again.

    Focus on who you want to be and what you want to achieve not on your fears. 

    The body is so vital to the experience of fear because it’s experienced in our mind but physically felt in our body through a strong reaction or response.

    What happens to the brain and body when we experience fear

    The amygdala is a small almond shaped organ in the middle of your brain that is triggered when you experience fear which in turn releases stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline – the fight or flight response.

    Your pupils dilate. 

    Your blood pressure increases, your heart starts racing faster and faster.

    Your body is literally going into evolutionary mode, sharpening its senses which is to brace itself for life – to fight for survival or flee for survival.

    I’ve mentioned this several times across the podcast that whilst humans have evolved quickly and rapidly the brain hasn’t quite caught up.

    The fight or flight evolutionary response

    This fight or flight response happens when you’re not even in physical danger as our ancestors were from hungry animals or raging weather conditions.

    It could be you being nervous about a big presentation or work. 

    Perhaps it’s running into an ex.

    Maybe it’s about what your friends think about you.

    This response is triggered and guess what?

    The brain cannot distinguish between reality and imagination so when you think of a memory when you were fearful it will and can feel so real in the body.

    An exercise to demonstrate the power of your mind and brain on fear

    Try it.

    Recall a time you were really scared in your life like a movie, see the visuals and feel it in your body. You can literally cause the stress response in the body.

    That is why my coaching is rooted in energetics and being in the body because the mind can do all sorts of lies and trickery such as fear.

    As I’ve even posted about on Instagram, your brain is wired for survival not happiness. 

    Fear and regret

    The thing is yes you can run from fear but often life will repeat itself and put you in situations until move through that fear to learn, grow, evolve and expand. 

    Remember this when it comes to fear, it is temporary.

    Regret is a strong and powerful emotion – we live one life. What are you going to do in this lifetime.

    Who are you going to be?

    Wake up and realise every day you are dying, so make the most of every moment.

    Don’t lead with fear because that energy is so vastly different to the power of leading with love and intention.

    The Bible and Fear

    It’s interesting too that the Bible, a very ancient text says ‘fear not,’ ‘don’t worry’ and ‘be anxious for nothing’ over 300 times.

    Fear is a part of the human experience and it is one of our greatest teachers when we let it go, when we move through it.

    Instead of falling to fear, how can you rise in fear?

    Common fears a life coach sees

    Many of my clients experience fears that are not unfounded.

    It feels so real in their minds.

    The two most commons ones are fear of showing up and being seen and a fear that they’ll never be in a relationship again.

    Together we move past this by identifying and bringing perspective to these fears and briefly visiting why these fears exist in their mind.

    I’ll give you a huge hint as a life coach, if you want to quickly grow – do the things you’re scared of.

    In your work, you’ll encounter the fears, work up to move past them and grow.

    Those who face fear head on and move through it, grow in quantum leaps.

  • When you grow, you will meet resistance

    The path to expansion and consciousness is not easy. If it was everyone would be doing it!

    It’s a path paved of triggers and resistance.

    Oh? I have to drop everything that I “think” I know? 🧠

    Your identity.

    Who you know yourself to be based on your past and the experiences you’ve had.

    The opinions and recognition of others.

    How you are defined in relation to your family, friends, colleagues and partner.

    Your beliefs.

    This has to be true because you say so…? Or is it? How did you form this belief? Is it yours? Where did it come from? 🤔

    Your life story made up of past moments, who you think you are now and who you want to be constructed in the future.

    Your opinions. You must have one or you have one and people need to hear it!!!?

    And the hardest of all… your ego!

    The resistance is normal. It’s showing you where you are keeping yourself small and stuck.

    Open up.

    Melt to the resistance.

    Be with the resistance 🧡

  • Mistakes simply allow you to gather information, that is it

    THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MAKING MISTAKES. But we beat ourselves up about it.

    We shame ourselves.

    “It’s all your fault because…”

    “You must have…”

    Realise this 👁

    It’s the makings of the mind and ego.

    The ego doesn’t want to die. It wants to keep itself alive with all the 💩 it comes up with.

    It fucks with your mind that it can be this easy… 🧠

    Be here now. Drop the baggage 🧳 it’s heavy beautiful soul…

    No more shame.

    No more drama.

    No more guilt.

  • Your mind is built to help you survive, not be happy

    YOU ARENT DESIGNED TO BE HAPPY AAAAAND THATS OKAY! 🧡

    You can take the pressure off yourself and your mind because there. is. nothing. wrong. with. you 🙏🏽

    Your brain is a survival organ designed to solve problems in order to live.

    Being happy all the time isn’t encouraged by our design because it would lower your guard to possible threats to your life.

    “Oh that animal won’t kill me…”

    “Oh I could easily do that trek…”

    “Oh it would be so fine to do [insert crazy reckless activity]”

    Your brain is an incredible super tool that is always on the look out for risks and threats. To protect you and I for one am so thankful.

    Your mind wants to protect you at all costs including happiness.

    The #1 priority is to s u r v i v e ❗️❗️❗️

    The pursuit of happiness isn’t what we are built to do.

    Can you be happy?

    Oh absolutely yes 😍

    Can you do it in your mind?

    Sure… but is that true happiness?

    Happiness for me and what I work with my clients is in being… the presence of here right now. This moment. Being alive. Here. In your body

    It is SO much simpler than you THINK 🧠 because it’s intuitive and isn’t to do with your mind 🤯
