Your power isn’t the loudest thing in the room. It never was.
It’s the breath you take before you say no, and mean it. It’s getting up in the morning, not because the weight has lifted, but because you’ve adapted enough to carry it and still walk.
Real power isn’t in never breaking. It’s in what you do after — how you gather yourself back up, piece by piece, and choose again.
It isn’t the applause. It isn’t being seen at your best. It’s the version of you nobody claps for: the one who forgives slowly, tries again quietly, and keeps loving even when love has cost you something.
You were taught that power looks like control. Like certainty. Like never needing anyone.
But real power looks like trembling hands doing the hard thing anyway. It looks like tenderness that refuses to curdle into bitterness. It looks like standing in your own truth without needing the whole world to agree with it first.
Your power isn’t loud.
It’s the steady thing underneath you, holding you up long after you stopped noticing it.
This week, ask yourself:
Where am I choosing alignment over approval?
Where am I practising quiet strength?
And what would it look like to recognise those small moments as power?
Real strength rarely looks dramatic. Most days it just looks like consistency = choosing the harder, healthier thing again and again until it becomes who you are.
Here’s the shift I want you to make this week: stop measuring your power by how loud or certain you feel, and start measuring it by how often you choose alignment over approval.
Notice the small moments eg saying no without over explaining, resting without guilt, trying again after a setback and name them as strength, because that’s exactly what they are.
You don’t need to perform your power for anyone. You just need to keep practicing it, quietly, until it becomes second nature. 🌱
