Inner child healing ISN’T just about diving into your childhood and potentially heavy wounds—it’s also about rediscovering joy.

Too often, healing is framed as only deep emotional work, unpacking trauma, and processing pain, but an equally powerful (and often overlooked) part of the journey is play.

Play isn’t just for kids; it’s a direct portal to the self expression, spontaneity, and parts of you that existed before the world told you who to be.

When you let yourself have fun, whether it’s randomly jumping on the bed, exploring or simply laughing; you’re giving your inner child what they may have missed: freedom, lightness, and permission to exist without expectations.

As adults, we tend to associate play with something unproductive or childish, but in reality, it’s one of the most healing things you can do ❤️‍🩹

Play shifts your nervous system, helping you go from survival mode into a state of ease and creativity.

It teaches you to be in the moment and experience life with a sense of wonder rather than pressure.

When you engage in play— you aren’t escaping reality; you’re reconnecting with the part of you that never stopped wanting joy 🥹

From my experience of coaching hundreds and hours of clients: If you only approach inner child healing through processing pain, you might unintentionally reinforce the idea that your past is something to fix rather than something to reclaim.

True healing is about wholeness and wholeness includes joy.

So, what did your younger self love to do just for the sake of it?

What made you feel alive before you were taught to be serious? Play isn’t just a break from healing—it is healing.

Give yourself permission to have fun, not just as an escape, but as an act of self love and restoration 🥳

I approach healing and moving through life differently. If this resonates with you, I invite you to work with me through 1:1 coaching, human design or attend and upcoming retreat 🧡
