The Lion’s Gate Portal is open 🦁
It runs from July 29 to August 12, peaking on 8/8, when Sirius rises just ahead of the Sun and the whole spiritual world calls it the most potent manifestation window of the year.
Here’s what nobody adds to the manifestation lists.
A portal being open doesn’t mean anything is required to come through it. It means the door is available. Whether something actually enters depends entirely on whether your nervous system has it braced shut or open.
You can write your desires on paper. You can say your affirmations under the Sun. You can do every 8/8 ritual on the internet, and if your body is still in a protective, closed state, none of it lands. It just bounces off the surface of you.
This is the part manifestation culture skips constantly. It talks about the portal opening like the work is external, like the sky does something to you. But a portal is only ever an invitation. The real work is making sure you’re actually open enough to receive what walks through it.
So before you write a single manifestation this week, ask your body a more honest question first: what does it feel like to imagine this thing I want, actually arriving?
If the honest answer is expansive, ease, excitement, you’re likely regulated enough to let it in. If the honest answer is tight, overwhelmed, suspicious, that’s not a sign the portal isn’t working. That’s a sign your system still associates receiving with danger, and no amount of ritual will out-power a locked door.
This is often why the same desire gets written down year after year and never lands. Not because the universe forgot. Because the ask was clear and the receiving was never actually available.
So this Lion’s Gate, do less asking and more opening. Notice where your breath gets shallow when you picture the life you want. Notice where you flinch before anything has even happened. That flinch is the actual work this portal is here for, not the affirmation, the flinch underneath it.
Widen that a little this week. Let your body practice the feeling of having, not just wanting. That’s what makes a portal mean something. Not the date on the calendar, the door you were finally willing to leave open.
