Alignment is often glamourised as a constant state of flow, clarity and purpose but the reality is far more nuanced. In this episode, we uncover 11 raw and rarely spoken truths about what alignment really looks and feels like. It’s not always peaceful or polished — in fact, sometimes it shows up as discomfort, endings or a deep sense of uncertainty that’s guiding you to something more honest.

We talk about the quieter forms of alignment, like making decisions that don’t make sense to others but feel deeply right to you. You’ll hear about the courage it takes to let go of things that are “almost right,” and why aligned living isn’t about perfection — it’s about integrity, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable. This episode is both a reality check and a permission slip to honour your own unique path.

Whether you’re in the middle of a transition, questioning what’s next, or simply craving more depth on your personal growth journey, this conversation offers grounded wisdom and soulful reminders. Celebrating 111

Hello my love! Welcome to episode 111 of the grow through it podcast. That angel number alone feels like a portal, so it’s only fitting we talk about something equally powerful and often misunderstood: alignment.

It’s become a bit of a buzzword, hasn’t it? “Just align with it.” “That’s not aligned.” But what does it really mean to live in alignment? Not in an Instagram caption kind of way, but in a real, embodied, sometimes messy, deeply honest kind of way?

In this episode, I’m breaking down 11 practical shifts: truths, perspectives and tiny mindset recalibrations — that can help you actually feel what alignment is, not just talk about it.

Let’s demystify the word, anchor it into reality, and maybe, by the end, alignment will feel a little less elusive… and more actionable, achievable, possible.

It’s beautiful timing as I am getting in the creative flow zone channelling for the upcoming Flow Retreat Im running in Vietnam at the end of this month with 7 incredible and beautiful women!

Let’s dive in.

11 Things You Need to Know About Alignment (That No One Talks About)

1. Alignment isn’t a buzzword—it’s a felt experience.

It’s not about having the perfect morning routine, or ticking spiritual practices off a list, collective gold stars from the universe. Alignment is about truth. It’s about how honest you’re willing to be with yourself. It asks: Can you be radically honest with yourself? Can you pause long enough to listen—not just to your mind, but to your body, your breath, your subtle yes and your sacred no? Can you soften into your inner knowing before charging ahead with the next task or to-do?

Alignment isn’t aesthetic. It’s a deep, steady resonance that hums when you’re connected to your yes—and brave enough to honour your no.

Alignment is a felt sense of attunement. Like tuning an instrument, it requires presence. Your body, your heart, your energy field—these are your tuning forks. When something’s off, you feel it. When something’s in flow, you know it—not because someone told you it was the right choice, but because something inside settles. Clicks. Resonates.

There’s also a masculine and feminine dynamic at play here. The masculine in us wants to define alignment with structure: clarity, consistency, action plans, execution. It asks: What does aligned action look like? How can I make this real, productive, measurable. The feminine knows that alignment begins in the unseen. In the quiet. She doesn’t need to define it—she feels it. She invites slowness, sensing, inner listening. The feminine attunes before the masculine acts. She’s the current. The masculine is the container.

When you lead from your feminine—when you allow yourself to feel first—then let your inner masculine take aligned action from that place of truth, things begin to flow. That’s alignment: not forced, not hustled, but integrated. Rooted in the body, expressed through the spirit, and carried out with grounded direction.

It’s not about being in control. It’s about being in tune. Alignment doesn’t follow a script. It follows you.

2. Misalignment shows up in the body before it hits the mind.

So often we think we’re burnt out because we’ve done too much. But what if we’re tired because we’ve done too much of what’s not true? Not enough of the things that make us feel alive.

Misalignment drains life force. You might feel foggy, disconnected, resentful, or stuck in loops of overthinking. Your nervous system contracts and tightens. Your creativity shuts down. These are not failures—they’re feedback. They’re your body calling you back into rhythm.

Your body is wise. It often knows long before your mind can articulate. Misalignment begins subtly—in the gut, the chest, the breath—and only later shows up in thoughts like I’m not motivated, I’m confused, or I just don’t feel like myself anymore.

What’s happening in your inner world eventually ripples out into your external reality.

You may find yourself attracting the wrong people into your life or stuck in relationship dynamics and situations that feel like hard work. You might notice projects stall, timing is off…

So when your body speaks—through fatigue, resistance, or tension—listen. Before you try to push through or problem-solve, ask: Is this really burnout? Or is this my body protecting me from betraying myself again?

Alignment isn’t just about what feels good. It’s about what’s real.

3. Your alignment might not look like anyone else's.

We live in a world that rewards sameness, but alignment is inherently personal. It’s your unique blend of energy, timing, cycles, and capacity. What works for her might not work for you. And that’s not a flaw—it’s a compass. Whether it’s your Human Design, your menstrual cycle, the seasons, or the moon, you’re allowed to orient your life around what actually supports you.

The deeper you know your own unique, natural, beautiful energetic and human design blueprint, the easier it becomes to stop outsourcing authority—and start trusting what feels right over what’s been prescribed. That’s alignment. Not fitting in. But tuning in.

4. Alignment often feels like letting go before it feels like moving forward.

It’s the moment you realise: I can’t keep betraying myself to belong. I can’t keep pushing through when my body says pause. It might feel like nothing is happening—but the letting go is the happening. The clearing. The choosing again. Alignment begins in those subtle, unseen pivots. And those pivots shape everything.

We tend to associate alignment with clarity, momentum, breakthroughs. But often, the first step isn’t expansion — it’s release. It’s the quiet, trembling moment when you realise: I can’t keep betraying myself to belong. I can’t keep pushing through when my body is begging for rest.

And so you let go.

Of the thing that once felt safe. The role that earned you approval. The pace that made you feel productive. The identity you outgrew. You let go — not because it’s easy, but because holding on would cost you your truth.

It might not look like much on the outside. It might even feel like nothing is happening. But the letting go is the happening. Before anything new can root itself, you have to clear what no longer fits. That’s where alignment begins.

5. Aligned action doesn’t require certainty.

There’s a misconception that once you’re in alignment, everything will be crystal clear. That you’ll feel 100% ready, resourced and confident before you move. Real alignment doesn’t always come with a guarantee. It often requires you to leap before you know where you’ll land. The good ol’ leap of faith, the fool in the tarot deck.

Aligned action isn’t the absence of fear — it’s movement that honours truth, even in the presence of fear. It’s taking the next step not because you’re certain, but because something inside you says this is mine to do. Not forever. Not for always. Right now.

The mind craves certainty. It wants to map out every outcome before it takes a risk. But the body? Your feminine intuition. The body knows in moments. There’s a resonance. A pull. A soft, magnetic yes that doesn’t always make logical sense but feels deeply, inexplicably right.

Aligned action says: I don’t need to know the whole path. I just need to trust the next step.

It’s deeply feminine in that way: responsive, intuitive, alive. Yet it calls on your inner masculine too; to honour the signal with movement. To protect the truth with choice.

You don’t need to be fearless. You don’t need to be certain. You just need to be willing to listen and to trust what you hear.

6. Alignment is dynamic—it’s alive, changing.

Alignment isn’t a one-time destination you reach and then stay at. It’s a living, breathing experience, constantly shifting, evolving and responding to the rhythms of your life.

This dynamic quality of alignment mirrors the dance between feminine and masculine energies. The feminine represents the flow, the intuition, the ebb and flow of emotion and the cyclical nature of life. She’s responsive, ever-changing, and fluid. In contrast, the masculine energy brings the structure, the direction and the clarity of action. He’s the container, the grounded force that brings what’s felt in the feminine into form.

When alignment is dynamic, it’s about learning to navigate between these energies — knowing when to surrender to the flow and when to anchor yourself into purposeful action. The feminine calls for trust and receptivity; she guides you to surrender to what is, to feel what’s true in the present moment. Then, the masculine energy takes that internal wisdom and grounds it into reality with clear, decisive action.

Sometimes, you’ll need more of one energy than the other. Sometimes you’ll be deep in the feminine, flowing through cycles and emotions, and other times, you’ll need to step into the masculine: acting on what you’ve learned, creating boundaries, or building something tangible.

This dynamic balance means that alignment isn’t about always being in one fixed state, it’s about learning to dance with change. You respond to what’s real in each moment, whether that means resting, creating, acting, or letting go. Alignment is the space where the two energies meet, constantly flowing, moving, shifting and yet always deeply, fundamentally aligned with your truth.

7. When you're aligned, your decisions become simple.

Alignment doesn’t mean every decision feels easy. It doesn’t mean you never doubt or hesitate. But when you’re aligned, decisions become clear.

The more you align with your truth, the more you learn to trust your intuition. There’s a soft confidence that emerges, a deep knowing that the next step is yours to take. It might not always be the easiest step, but it will always feel right. You’ll stop second guessing and instead act from the place of knowing that you’re leading yourself in the direction that serves you—not what others think you should do, but what feels alive for you.

This is where the real power lies. No more confusion, no more overwhelming choices — just clarity, presence and a steady pulse of certainty guiding you forward.

8. Alignment is flow.

Alignment isn’t something you force or chase. It’s a state of flow—one that comes when you stop fighting against the current and instead start moving with it. It’s a quiet surrender to life’s natural rhythms, where everything feels just right, not because you’ve planned it, but because you’ve learned to trust the process.

When you’re aligned, you become less about pushing through and more about being. It’s like being carried downstream: where you’re still actively engaged, but you’re not swimming upstream. You’re simply following the flow, moving in harmony with the direction life is taking you. It’s not about striving for control; it’s about responding to what comes next, with clarity and confidence, knowing you’re exactly where you need to be.

So perhaps alignment is  less about forcing a flow and more about recognising when you’re already in it. You begin to notice where things click into place; conversations that land, timing that feels divine, choices that energise instead of deplete. This is where life starts to feel spacious, magnetic, even magical and that’s exactly the space we’re opening inside the Flow Retreat. You start to notice the difference between pushing and participating. You soften into the knowing that you don’t have to grip tightly to make something happen. Instead, you learn to work with life, not against it.

Flow isn’t something you achieve, it’s something you remember. It’s a return to your natural state, before all the conditioning that told you to hurry, harden, or hold it all together. Flow is the essence of feminine alignment. It doesn’t bulldoze through resistance. In this state, you’re not performing your life, you’re inhabiting it.

The feminine doesn’t just want movement, it wants meaning. Flow happens when your choices nourish you while also stretching you. It’s not always light and graceful; sometimes it’s gritty, emotional, untamed. But even then, there’s a current running through you, a knowing that you’re in integrity with yourself. That you’re creating, relating, expressing, from a place that is real.

Flow isn’t about floating it’s about feeling fully. Feminine alignment invites you to stop bracing against life and start moving with it. In that movement, you begin to meet yourself again — not as a project to fix, but as a pulse to follow.

9. Harmony and alignment are deeply intertwined.

Alignment is the state of being true to your deepest self, while harmony is the result when all the elements of your being: mind, body, heart, soul, spirit and environment—are in balance with each other.

Think of alignment as tuning an instrument. When every string, every note is precisely in place, the music flows effortlessly. Similarly, when you’re aligned, everything inside you is in tune: your desires, your actions, your values, your energy—they all resonate at the same frequency. This is where harmony lives.

Harmony is not about perfection. It’s not about everything being exactly as you expect. It’s about the feeling that comes when the pieces of your life fit together naturally, when you’re not forcing, when you’re not pushing or struggling. Instead, things flow because you’re in tune with your truth.

When you’re aligned, you become like that well-tuned instrument, creating a harmonious sound wherever you go. There’s less friction, less resistance. Instead, there’s a steady, clear energy that draws the right experiences, people, and opportunities into your life without the struggle.

So, alignment creates harmony by helping you find that internal coherence. In that coherence, the external world begins to respond with ease and flow.

10. Be with your own rhythm when it comes to alignment.

There’s a natural rhythm that lives inside you — one that isn’t forced or prescribed, but deeply felt. It’s the rhythm your body and soul already know, the one that quietly leads you through life in a way that actually supports who you are at your core.

Your natural rhythm is the pace at which your nervous system feels safe, your heart feels open, and your creativity can breathe. It’s not the speed of the world around you, it’s the frequency of you. It speaks in sensations, in gut feelings, in the rise and fall of your energy throughout the day or month. It asks you to trust your own timing, even when it looks different from what others expect.

You stop measuring your worth by how quickly you move or how much you achieve. Instead, you begin to orient your life around what genuinely supports your vitality, your expansion, your peace. This is alignment — an act of self loyalty. Honouring your natural rhythm can feel radical in a world that rewards urgency. But it’s the doorway to something deeper: a life where you’re no longer constantly recovering from burnout, overthinking your next move or disconnected from your own inner knowing. It’s where your decisions come from clarity, not chaos. From inner steadiness, not social comparison.

Living a life that’s truly aligned with your soul (your actual blueprint, your human design) means coming back into rhythm with you. Not by becoming someone new, but by peeling away everything that’s not true. The Great Unlearning. Your Great unlearning. It’s a relationship. A practice.

Right now, many of us are waking up to just how far we’ve strayed from that inner rhythm. The world is loud with noise and pressure; what to be, how to live, who to become. But alignment asks something simpler, more courageous: that you return to yourself. To your timing. To your truth.

We’re in a collective moment where the old rhythms are cracking. Linear timelines, endless pushing, disconnection from self: it’s all being questioned. And in the space that opens up, there’s a chance to come back into equilibrium and balance. This isn’t about rebellion for the sake of it. It’s about remembering. That you are nature, not separate from it.

11. Being in sync with your true self is one of the most profound ways alignment manifests.

This was the final really juicy special point I channeled through specifically for anyone listening to this podcast on alignment! Think of being in sync as getting on the same frequency as your own soul. Being in sync is like hitting every green light on the way home. You’re not rushing, not pushing — just moving at the right pace, in the right direction, and somehow everything clears to meet you. That’s alignment. It’s not luck. It’s resonance.

Life becomes less of a chase and more like being pulled by a magnet. You don’t need to strain to get where you’re meant to go: there’s a natural pull that guides you, effortlessly leading you forward, right to where you need to be.

When you’re in sync with yourself, it’s like a garden where every plant is nurtured according to its needs. Each one grows at its own pace, but together they form a thriving ecosystem. When you’re aligned, your actions, relationships, and health naturally flourish in harmony, without forcing anything. You don’t need to chase the sun, it comes to you in the right season. Opportunities, people, and experiences bloom effortlessly, and everything feels like it’s unfolding just as it’s meant to.

It’s about learning to trust the signals your body, mind and spirit send you. The universe, or whatever higher energy you believe in, communicates with you through signs, symbols, and synchronicities. These can come in the form of angel numbers, repeating patterns, or unexpected coincidences. When you’re aligned, these signs feel less like coincidences and more like gentle nudges from the universe affirming that you’re on the right path.

When you notice these signs, it’s the universe’s way of asking you to pause and reflect: Are you truly in sync with your desires? Are you honouring the flow? Being aligned means being open to receiving these messages and trusting that they come from a place of wisdom. They push you to trust that you’re not stumbling blindly but moving in a direction that’s divinely guided.
