Needing time does not mean you’re failing.
Needing room to grow does not make you ungrateful for where you are.
Needing a pause does not erase your progress.
Needing distance does not mean you don’t care.
Needing support does not take away your strength.
There is a quiet humanity in neediness, a tender truth that few are willing to admit aloud. Neediness is not only about people although it can be… it can also be about the seasons of our lives, the silent demands we feel from time itself.
We grow restless when we feel left behind, aching for more time to unfold at our own pace, wishing the world would slow its spinning so we can catch up.
Sometimes we are needy for space in a way that has nothing to do with anyone else: room to breathe in a crowded life, room to expand into a version of ourselves we haven’t yet met.
We crave distance not out of coldness but because growth often happens in the gaps, in the pauses we fight so hard to carve out.
Neediness can also be a reaching toward our own future, a hunger for growth that feels insatiable.
We want new skills, new landscapes, new opportunities to stretch beyond the limits that yesterday placed on us.
Neediness is not a flaw but a compass, pointing toward the life we sense we could live if only we dared to want it fully.
It is the soul’s way of whispering: there is more for you, if you let yourself reach.
If you’re wanting support and guidance on this journey, I got you. I offer 1:1 coaching, human design readings and I have my final retreat of 2025 Radiance in Bali (Sept 29 – Oct 4, 2025). Message me for more details and to chat.
